The Gi.Metal proposal for the pizza “alla romana” or “alla pala” is to replace wood, commonly used for this type of pizza peel, with a light , solid , durable and certainly more hygienic material such as anodized aluminum . The neutral anodizing makes the surface of the blade uniform, it protects against oxidation and guarantees an incomparable lightness.
Holes reduce friction, excess amount of flour and the weight of the instrument. The special arrangement of the hole makes the instrument more stable, less curved and thus guarantees that heavier pizzas can be taken along.
